Admiration and applause for the Anak TV Ambassadors
Anak TV has initiated a better way to reach out and get connected with children and their parents.
Anak TV Ambassadors from member-networks were assigned to become the strong mouthpiece for Anak TV during symposiums and seminars, requiring them to speak before a large number of parents, teachers and students. In all these gatherings, they did not fail to earn the admiration and applause of their audience.
It was in a board meeting when Ms. Angel Javier Cruz of GMA Network broached the idea of bringing network stars to Anak TV seminars and symposia, both in Metro Manila and in the provinces and offered the services of young stars of GMA to help in the Anak TV advocacy.
It was not difficult for the board to appreciate the value of her suggestion, for this was actually in the “TO DO list” of Anak TV President Elvira Yap Go, even before the pandemic.
Ms. Go said that this is the right time to have this plan implemented to attract the young and encourage them to be smart media consumers.
Four envoys were initially presented to kickstart such worthwhile endeavor.
They were Allen Ansay and Sofia Pablo from GMA Network, and Joshua Dionisio and Ayra Mariano from UNTV.
They joined the Anak TV in visiting partner schools nationwide and engaged their audience in informal but insightful discussion about the importance of exercising safe TV-viewing habits.
They shared their insights on their roles as good examples to the children who look up to them for positive values, wisdom and learnings.
They also shared their talents in singing and rendered several numbers for the audience’s delight.
Soon, the four became six, with the addition of Rodgyn Lorzano and Jana Talaña of INCTV.
Once again, network barriers were broken as the six ambassadors hit it off right away and created a camaraderie that one would think they had already worked with each other for a very long time — a solid proof that an undertaking conceived in love and care for children will yield a better bond like no other.
Such joyous camaraderie was especially evident during the recording of the Anak TV theme song, Your Children – Our Children, that resulted in a great musical harmony.
The six of them proved that they can create a wonderful ensemble singing in unison with such beautiful melody.
These six ambassadors will be more than enthusiastic to join in the forthcoming symposiums, tv screenings, and larolympics in partner schools in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao this year.
